Child Safety Standards

Zero tolerance, automated screening, and a direct contact

Last updated: 2 July 2026

Our standards

  • Splat prohibits any child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors — with zero tolerance and no exceptions.
  • Splat accounts require users to be 16 or older, verified at signup.
  • Every uploaded Splat is automatically scanned frame-by-frame before it can appear publicly. Child-safety classifications are rejected outright at any confidence level and escalated for human review and legal reporting.
  • Confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the relevant local authority, and the account is terminated.

In-app safety tools

  • Report any Splat from the feed overflow menu — one tap.
  • Block any account; blocking is bidirectional and immediate.
  • Three open reports hide content pending human review.
